When I saw this photo I was too curious and had to find out more so I messaged Kimberley for the details. She confirmed that, yes she and some friends actually built this a few years back, and it looks incredible at night.
So how did they do it? Kimberley shared, "We saved 2 litre milk cartons and filled them to the brim with water." Now that is commitment for sure and that's just to start. She continued, "We let them freeze on the deck, cut them open and added some food colouring and we had the bricks. After that we started with a circle and continued with a beehive style using snow as mortar".
The process to build the Igloo took them about 3 hours and to finish it off they added a light on the inside to allow for the nighttime glow in the photo.
As a footnote, Kimberley and friends were not kids at the time but as she said to me, "She is always a kid at heart".
