Owning your own home is one of the best feelings
Owning your own home is one of the best feelings ever, that cannot be described in words alone. Your home is a place that reassures you that after all the ups and downs of the day. It’s a place that will not judge you and a place where lifelong memories can be made and shared with friends and family. This is something that Roxanne knew growing up in her family home.
Roxanne and her husband dreamt of owning their own home and it became a reality. I asked, “How long did you and your husband rent?” She replied, “We rented for about 10 years, but it was always our plan to buy our own home.” I could tell in her voice that this was a life changing moment for her.
Roxanne shared that she is a mother of two adult children and a proud grandmother of two. She shared, “When I was raising my children, we lived in an apartment, and I always dreamed of having our own home.” She continued, “My husband and I now get to share this experience with my grandchildren. The memories we are creating are priceless.” I quickly asked, “What is one of your favourite memories so far?” She beamed, “We all sat out on the patio the night we moved in and just looked at each other smiling. No words were necessary. The joy and happiness on our faces said it all.”
Roxanne and her husband dreamt of owning their own home and it became a reality. During our conversation, Roxanne also shared that she is a summer person while her husband loves winter. Something tells me that after she saw her husband and granddaughter having fun in the backyard making snow forts, and memories she may think winter is not so bad after all.
