Millstream Ruins – What Secrets Do They Hold

If you take Highway 374 and turn on East River West Side Road and meander your way down until you meet Millstream No 2 Road, you will be at the beginning of a mini adventure!

Park just uphill where it meets Millstream No 1 Road, go a short hike into the woods on your right, pass the abandoned cars and you will be at your destination, the Mill ruins.

Amazingly, the Mill has a couple of beautiful stone walls and two window openings still intact overlooking the small brook that runs in front of it. The brook babbles but it does not share any secrets that may be held within these remaining walls.

If these walls could talk, I wonder what they would say? I wonder what type of Mill this was, who worked here, and what were their lives like? We may never know but we can always imagine.

Tips: It's always a good idea to wear a bright colour when in the woods for visiblity and safety. Wear proper footwear as well and be careful.
